Thoughts on losing light levels and going to 20?
I know some of you arent smart enough to have spotted this implication, but basically, light levels are being done away with, and normal leveling will resume, this means, you will lose that 34, and start again at twenty when the new dlc releases.
So whats your reaction to that, and the fact all that hard work for gear to level up islost?
Im suspecting that is your face above considering you just figured it out.

I'm glad they're going back with the tried and true system of XP leveling, and leaving behind that flop of a progression system that they've come up with.

2 Repliesyou know that every one gets a item to boost one of their guardians to the minimum level that you can start the taken king mission (20- 25,30,etc) so yeah we'll be fine. Choose your main to boost first because you only get 1 item.

At least someone who played it wrote an article and said 'my transition into the new light system as a 34 was seamless' it was in the news part of the google search for destiny the taken king yesterday Same goes for 33 etc So no need In fact this post is totally unnecessary im sure someones already corrected him. Someones prolly called him a dumbass already. I wonder how long its going to take to go up 6 levels. I know its gonna be more each level but im thinkin the last few would have to be a ton of xp. Or maybe itll be like... if you beat oryx, you go from 35 to 36 or get an item that adds 1 level.

Everyone is all freaked out. Look, bungie has tested this out. It might jot be perfect but they have had plenty of people play TTK and obviously they don't see this causing any problems for anyone so either they are doing away with level requirements for those tasks that ask you to be a certain level or they are simply flatlining everything to level 20, including missions, raids, and strikes on everything pre TTK? Who knows, just wait and see and remain calm. I can see it now, all over the news "Bungies Destiny caused the earliest onset of gray hair in teens since the first time the world was declared round"

1 ReplyIf you watch the ign video from the first multiplayer trailer for TTK there are players that have a light level of 50 so I'm not sure what to think of what they are saying about the 40 level cap and the fact that the ghost will be getting a new voice over from levels 1-40 .

3 RepliesI'll let you know when it's actually confirmed. They would have to rework everything currently in the game if we all revert back to 20 and I just don't see that as the 1st option.

Better back to 20 then inflate the light level to a 50 cap. I don't want numbers to get ridiculously high for no reason. If it means the same amount of play, I don't mind.

Well their is still speculation if we will be compensated for our work such as getting levels that we earned after 20 (you get A more for every level) so we might be able to turn motes in for levels up to 40. We do know that you will instantly be allowed to get one guardian up to playing field for TTK and that the level is still unconfirmed, but going back to 20 seems fair because we used light to gain power not experience.

3 Repliesi think the only fair way to do it is to take into acount all the exp you have earned over the last year and put that towards you total level though a lot of people would just jump straight to 40 probablly. At the very least we should get to stay 34 or whatever we were at with light

Not to worry. Bungie will reveal all...soon. Which equates to maybe they might hint at something, some time before the Money King drops. Can't have those OP weapons with thrall and acolyte burn getting leaked ahead of time. If it's so great, then tell us what's going on and let us rave about it for the next six weeks. Bungie is its own worst enemy.

I love it. I prefer XP levels over light, and I don't want to only have to level up 6 levels as that would be boring
