I know some of you arent smart enough to have spotted this implication, but basically, light levels are being done away with, and normal leveling will resume, this means, you will lose that 34, and start again at twenty when the new dlc releases.
So whats your reaction to that, and the fact all that hard work for gear to level up islost?
Im suspecting that is your face above considering you just figured it out.

I'm just upset I worked my ass off for nothing.
-
Great idea
-
I hate it.
-
Amazing change, screw light level, armor should just give perks
-
Highly doubt we're getting dropped to 20. No one would be able to run VoG, CE, PoE, etc.
-
-
Nope, we stay the same, as do weapons. The thing is if you want to improve one will have to grab the new gear and weapons as the current lot are not upgradeable, they will slowly disappear as you realise the new stuff outperforms the outdated equipment Also, the game is now rigged to basically give you what you need to improve your standing. I think that's the way it reads.

They need to make players to play longer this time and not get bored few weeks after dlc. Let the grind start!!!
-
I so happy cuz, no more scrubs thinking that they are the best even tho they just got lucky and got an armor peice
-
What will happen to the people who do not purchase TTK? Will their light level drop to 20 or stay at 34? I do not plan on purchasing TTK. I am interested to understand what my situation will be.
-
I'm pretty sure they're not gonna just make us 20. What if people want to run Crota and Skolas, etc? That wouldn't be fair. People need to stop jumping to conclusions and let Bungie actually release info.
-
-
This does not change anything but light rank armor and gear will still be assessed normal its just the TTK stuff will require a higher lvl for advancements unless they lock in TTK stuff requiring u to purchase the DLC to do anything which was done with the previous DLC
-
Good one Render
-
I know you're not smart enough to notice this but bungie has not commented on your new base level, its just as likely you start at the new base level of 30
-
It won't make it up to you, but there is supposed to be a one time use item that auto levels one of your guardians to their current level. So at least one guardian might be able to start at 34.
-
I;m not that bothered to be honest with you. It should only take a couple of days to get back to 34 anyway with the amount I play.
-
Edited by Fstroke: 8/5/2015 6:26:07 PMThanks Capiton obvious! But what that does mean considering the speculation is true, is day 1 of TTK we are locked out of all end game content and half the missions? There is no way that is true. Unless they are changing level requirements and damage scaling as a function of unequal level that is. The more appropriate thing would be to turn current light level into character level, in the same spirit of rewarding year one players and such. We will see what happens though.
-
No it's supposed to stay 34, but your actual xp level can still be increased
-
We are still going to be lvl 34.
-
Welcome to mmo's... It doesn't shock me at all and I m glad the light levels are out.
-
I'm glad no more light levels
-
It just seems like bunfie has ADHD.
-
Can't wait! :D
-
I'm glad this is happening. I actually plan on deleting a character and starting over just to see all the rework they did. People who are getting angry at this need to calm down. I can't wait to throw all this stupid garbage off the edge of the tower and start fresh, it's what this game needed. They better do it every year.
