Thoughts on losing light levels and going to 20?
I know some of you arent smart enough to have spotted this implication, but basically, light levels are being done away with, and normal leveling will resume, this means, you will lose that 34, and start again at twenty when the new dlc releases.
So whats your reaction to that, and the fact all that hard work for gear to level up islost?
Im suspecting that is your face above considering you just figured it out.

They had to get rid of that ridiculous levelling system at some point. Glad they did it early on.

I jumped to that conclusion at first too but in all reality light probably just won't take us past 34.

Going back to our xp end level wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, but I feel like they should maybe do something because all the motes we have gained instead of level. Either way I don't mind though. In fact I feel like it will be more rewarding to see the level up thing.

There is no evidence thus far this is the plan. Additionally, there are comments in other places from Bungie that suggest leveling will start where you are now.

Light levels were a huge mistake. Being max level required to get lucky with armor drops. HoW made it too easy to reach 34. Plus, to a new player, light levels are confusing and can lead to frustration.

3 RepliesI love it, besides the fact that whoever got the exotic class items gets a xp boost. Also we can bring one character up to the level required for TTK immediately. Or have you forgotten? [spoiler]i might get the digital items just because I have been keeping one dollar a day since August 2014 and have a good amount of extra cash :P[/spoiler]

Why does it matter? The damage and armor values of the weapons won't have changed and that's gonna make more of a difference than armor does. So we'll essentially still be 34s because of our damage and armor values.

I am ok with it. I will probably be deleting one of my characters to start fresh. It will probably only take people all of a week to get to level 40 anyways.

ive leveled plenty of times since reaching 20 you know received many motes for it does any of that count?
