I know some of you arent smart enough to have spotted this implication, but basically, light levels are being done away with, and normal leveling will resume, this means, you will lose that 34, and start again at twenty when the new dlc releases.
So whats your reaction to that, and the fact all that hard work for gear to level up islost?
Im suspecting that is your face above considering you just figured it out.
-
It's been confirmed by Urk and DeeJ in a very recent IGN video that you will keep your current level. Whatever your light level is now, that will be your level in the taken King. For instance, I am a level 34 Hunter, so for TTK I will also be a 34, and I'll just have to rank up 6 more times to get to max level

Excellent bait mate. Unlike the IQ dodgers aiming anger towards you I will salute the bait you dangled and presume you are infact a troll and not an idiot yourself.

You stoopeeed...

OMG! People still believe this??? I've seen at least 2 interviews and read at least 2 articles that state we will start at whatever level we are when TTK drops. Stop spreading rumors created out of ignorance and laziness. Do your research.
-
Just watched some information. You won't lose level progress. Your light level will be silently see to what ever max level you're gear Pegram had you at when TTK launches. I dint know this either until a bit ago, just sharing my loss of ignorance.
-
IGN interview. We will start at our current level
-
To all those posting we are level 34...... We are not! We are level 20 with light lvl on armour that takes us to lvl 34. If light lvl is removed from armour how are we still going to be lvl 34.......??

Lets look at this logically since your argument is based on logic. Bungie released a new expansion but reduces your character level to a point where you can't play any of the new or already released content until you level up, which may take a week or two for some people. Really dude. Use your brain.
-
FINALLY. I've waited for Bungie to drop this garbage since release.

Edited by oOsupertaskOo: 8/8/2015 10:23:42 AMYou are so wrong. We are not losing our light levels. And you can't say we are going back to level 20 because the level cap have always been 20. The XP level cap at 20 will now be raised to 40 with The Taken King. This means we can get our guardians up to XP level 40, and have light level gear of 34. Not a bad thing. Keep your your light leveled gear, it won't be worthless.
-
I've heard you start at whatever Light Level you're at now. I want to start at 20 and level up more, so I may equip a pile of Rare/Uncommon junk gear before it goes live.
-
Couldn't be happy, light levels was a terrible idea
-
I'm cool with it as long as I keep my progress on my subclasses, and even if i don't keep my progress it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing

The gear will be fine; only thing that will matter now is stats and defense. Personally I wont mind.

Edited by tacoface1996: 8/8/2015 9:13:04 AMLove it, hate the light level system, traditional leveling system should of been the way to go since the start.
-
Edited by C Moth: 8/8/2015 9:09:13 AMActually the base light level has been 20 since launch. You gained additional levels with the additional light from better gear. They're changing that somewhat to just gaining experience for higher light level. What I'd like to see in exchange for new players in the collectors edition getting a huge xp boost is to give year one players a retroactive light level boost from all of the xp gained from the grind we've been put through. That mote of light that pops up every now and then? That's what happens every time you level up in xp after level 20. Other games have done a level up due to previous experience gained before a level cap increases. I think it would be a nice thank you for year one players not having access to the welfare check xp boost.

No, bungie told games informer that you start at what ever level you are currently at. 34 starts at 34 etc. look up the interview
