Your assumptions are false. I'm indifferent to the changes, but normally I maintain an optimistic outlook on things. I never anticipated the gear that I have now being relevant in the future, especially considering that there is a ten year plan for this game. The light level system had no sustainability to it. This change is for the better. I would rather them do this now, than realize the error in it 5 years from now and make the change then. Etheric Light was a step in the right direction, but ultimately was not the proper fix. Games like these require a high level of customization to keep it "fresh". I think the changes that are coming down the pipeline will have a positive effect on the "plan".
