Look at the new video from planet destiny they just released.. It gives a little bit more on the information about how the weapons we have now can still be used in the future.. I personally feel like trying to obtain different weapons after having all the weapons year one has to offer.. Don't get stuck in old ways.. At least they don't reset your entire character stats...
