This is how the game should have been from day 1. Grinding for gear alone is ridiculous. An XP leveling system with complementary gear, class based or other is a billion times better.
I will never dismantle my main gear now. The grind was real and a lot of fun. Looking forward to a chnage and a challenge. All of our exotics can and will be ascended.
This is a far better system for the future. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and can cancel their orders etc.
This just secured my preorder.

I admit I wasn't even thinking about buying TTK, but after reading the reddit megathread on all the changes I'm sorely tempted to get it. Bungie seems to be taking several steps in the right direction. I'll wait till a few days after release, read the reviews and see how I feel then. I know it's a bit sore to loose the value of all our current beloved weapons. I got a few I will never dismantle as well, but these other changes look so healthy for the game that I think it's worth it to stick out the tougher transitions for something better. I just hope they make the new legendary weapons even more appealing than the original. At least we'll probably get to keep our exotics relevant somehow.
