Master chief isn't even the best Spartan. He was the LUCKIEST. And because of that luck he survived the longest.
Plus, Cortana.

Actually others just like him are still alive. And in the halo 1 remastered edition in the first mission when you get up to the room where they were monitoring chief if you go in the room right behind it that's where another Spartan 2 was being held by the name of Linda chiefs old team mate.

Blue team is alive too right? Their in halo 5. But in all honesty, the only reason Chiefs alive is because of Cortana.

Yes chief would be dead in halo 4 if it wasn't cortana but he would still be alive without her if the events of halo 4 and the end of halo 3 (kinda) didn't happen.

I don't know, but ive been told that chief is not the best Spartan. He was simply the luckiest.
