Part of the problem is that if you want equality than you have to deal with these kinds of things like the rest of us. There can't be a huge uproar or all this support coming out just because it happens to women. I'm a male and I'm on youtube. I make videos that people don't always agree with. I've had people tell me that my house should burn down while my mother is being -blam!- inside, I've had death threats, and the whole nine yards. You just have to let it go. It's the internet and people get balls of steel hiding behind a keyboard and monitor. Just block/ignore them and move on. When you make videos like this or respond than you are giving the trolls exactly what they want and just putting more fuel on their fire. They know that they got to you, they know that it bothered you, and that makes them feel good and further encourages their behavior. Not saying you can't have your all female clan, but you have to also realize when you do that you are opening yourself up to more of the trolling because you really aren't promoting the "equality" that you are seeking. Yes it sucks that people target your group, but again, you have to just let it go and hold your head high and be the bigger person. I honestly sometimes wonder if these groups clamoring for all this equality even know what that word means. You don't make yourself equal by trying to create special groups and call for action to be taken against behavior that only affects you. Again as someone who has had to deal with plenty of internet trolls, I'm sympathetic to what you had to deal with, but in the long run it is going to be much more helpful if you just ignore these types of people and try to work for equality for ALL gamers, not just females.

  • the uproar is about disrespect in general not just towards the dames. ignoring the over all problem gets us as a society nowhere.

  • TeKnoVKNG23 has a point. It is 2015 and people trolling online is old news and it does come off like this is being made to be "we are girls and you white knights should be upset that we are disrespected". Although it sucks if you guys in your clan came across excessive disrespect, it happens to us all when we make ourselves more public either as an individual or as a group. I've dealt with it tons and if you don't have a thick skin then you should rethink putting yourself out there online in a public way (not you personally, talking in general). This is no political issue. People troll and people troll trolls. It was never about trolls getting a point across, that is not why trolls troll. Have fun gaming but this issue just means you are now one of "us". Keep doing your thing and keep growing the dames.

  • Trolls want attention, but that's no excuse to stay silent in the face of a problem.

  • Hey I got a message after a NF telling me to stick a knife up my ass, you know what I did? I laughed it off and reported them, BUT I didnt go complaining or airing it to the world. There are ways to fix the issues WITHOUT making it political.

Sort of, but I'm saying when we treat it like its only a problem when it happens to female gamers that is the issue. This kind of thing happens to all of us, but when it happens to a group of women we're all of a sudden supposed to be all up in arms? That's what I really don't understand. Where are the videos and outcry for it in general? They don't happen unless a particular group thinks they have been wronged and that is really my big issue with it. You aren't promoting equality or doing anything to fight sexism by only making videos on the topic when its convenient for your group. All this does is reinforce the fact they are "girl gamers" and does the opposite of promoting equality. They want to be treated the same, but when something happens to them that happens to everyone else they want to call attention to it and act like there should be all this uproar which only further serves to make them different from they want to be equal to.
