What will happen to the people who do not purchase TTK? Will their light level drop to 20 or stay at 34? I do not plan on purchasing TTK. I am interested to understand what my situation will be.

  • I have an even better question. If you're NOT buying Taken King, why do you give a $hit what happens to your characters? One would assume you aren't purchasing new content because you're done playing, not that you're so cheap you're just going to keep playing the old nightfalls and strikes rather than pony up forty bucks for a new game.

  • Question, not intended to be rude or anything, but why aren't you gonna get it? Or are you gonna wait to get it after a few weeks? I just ask because other than base pvp idk why you'd keep playing destiny without TTK. Again, no rudeness intended, just an honest question

  • I am going to wait for the reviews. It was a waste for me to purchase the first to expansions when I purchased the PS4 Destiny Edition. This is my feelings regarding my money spent. I want to play this game. If I had waited till year 2, then I could have purchased everything significantly cheaper to make the money spent worth the cost for the amount of content received. If it's not worth the money, I'll buy year 2 with year 3 content to make the $40, $60, or $80 spent worth it. I do not have to play this game now, I can wait. I am debating on buying TTK or Final Fantasy XIV with expansions in October. Even if I do not buy TTK, I can still do year 1 game content with friends who purchased TTK. I can still play the game and still have fun doing it. I just will not be playing the game as often as I do now.

  • Totally reasonable. I was just wondering. I have a friend who plays FF14 and loves it. It looks pretty good and they've had cool expansions

  • I don't like the $15 a month, but I know many people that play Destiny and Final Fantasy XIV and they enjoy Final Fantasy more, but they do play Destiny first....lol. They are completionists. To them, Destiny is a quick completion in a week or two and then back to Final Fantasy XIV that has them playing for months and still not completing all the content. The way Destiny is going, it's roughly $20-$40 dollars for each expansion so over many months, your still paying for it. I have many friends that have preordered TTK. One has just given me permission to play one of his characters while he's at work. So I'll be able to sample the content extensively before I purchase for myself.

  • Yeah, 15/month is a standard but I think it gives companies a better chance to do the things they need to do. I played WoW and CoH and loved them both so I totally get it. Plus they added the gold saucer and chocobo racing to FF a few months back so what's not to love? Haha
