Highly doubt we're getting dropped to 20. No one would be able to run VoG, CE, PoE, etc.

They would if the levels for those items were auto adjusted and scale to level.

we will I believe because we loosing light level on the gear, so we default back to 20

So why is that your assumption and not that Bungie will just set people's xp level proportionate to their current maximum level with gear/light? I highly doubt Bungie would make people grind through 20 levels to hit maximum.

What if my 34 was wearing 32 gear? Also I don't think it's safe to assume they have something implemented that tells them what your characters current max is/was. They may but I doubt it.

I am not saying they do or even will, but to assume everyone will drop to 20 because light is being removed is just dumb. Also, I think to do have something implemented already in this regard, you only have to look as far as moments of triumph to see they an track most stuff

Yes but did you notice maximum level is considered 20?

they might not, they have to restructure the levels because that means a new player would need to hit 34 just doing the regular story missions and xpacks missions to be able to start ttk missions if they start at 34. it was a struggle to hit 20 just doing the main story missions and doing bounties/pvp in between.

Struggle? I ran a fresh hunter and warlock from 0-34 on a fresh account (kgnast2). Hit cap on both in the same single week as well as rank 5 in IB on both. Then in Monday, I ran the Titan to rank 5 in about 2 hrs.

I can max a toon in 8-10 hours in a single play, I just mean you cant do it to 20 by the missions alone, if you played through everything in a day or two you wouldn't hit level 34 if that's what the ttk stuff starts at.

Takes pvp. A good chunk of pvp to blow through to 20. Much easier to exit pve, level up in pvp, cycle back to pve once over level on story missions and crush through them too.
