So you say you chase the guns, but you're not excited about a whole plethora of new weapons? You should be as excited as anyone, there will be a bunch of new guns for you to chase. Raid guns, exotics, regular old legendaries. I'm sorry, but your statement just seemed a bit contradictory.

  • im sure he looks forward to getting new gear, but most of us would like to have the option to use the gear we prefer. maybe i like the new gear, maybe i dont, but it should be up to me

  • Fair enough I guess, I just don't have any real desire to carry on using the same guns forever. I have some guns that I might miss, but at the same time I'm petty confident that there will be new weapons that are just as interesting and fun. To follow up, I also grind hard for guns. I finally just got the Crux last night after months of grinding. I also just got a Solar Jewel of Osiris two weeks ago. Will I be little sad not to carry that forward, maybe. At the same time, I'm very excited to chase all of the new guns.

right, but wouldnt it be nice to be able to create a collection of great weapons? I have fatebringer, but maybe I want a solar version, or I have VoC but nothing I like with void Im not attached to any special weapon, maybe I can find a new special weapon I like What would be nice is to be able to pull a few weapons from each expansion that you love, but Bungie is too lazy to create weapons that can rival the original ones They market it as fresh content, but really its bc the original weapons are too good and they want boss fights to last longer. All they had to do was create better weapons, and people would naturally leave the old ones behind

  • I'd say to this point you are pretty much on point with that statement. The HoW weapons are garbage aside from the Trials weapons and 2 of the 3 exotics (although even they are a bit underwhelming). The raid weapons from TDB were all pretty good IMO with a few exceptions but the exotics were terrible.I'm willing to give them a chance though. You can't judge content you haven't seen yet. We haven't seen what the new weapons perk trees are going to be like. We don't know what the new raid weapons will be like, or the Trials weapons, or just the regular legendary weapons. As far as having a collection; personally I don't want to keep using the same weapons. Fatebringer, Vex, Gjallarhorn, Black Hammer etc. can all go away as far as I'm concerned. They've grown stale to me. I will stick a few of them in the vault for occasional use when I want to mess around. I just want new exciting gear and I'm pretty excited to see what they are making. Maybe I'll be disappointed, maybe not. What I do know is that my vault will be getting thinned out over the next month (I've already started deleting weapons) in preparation for the new stuff that's incoming. Don't forget, all of those old weapons will still be useful in crucible. So at least there is that.
