What's the point of creating new weapons and gear? Increasing level cap? Any grind? You can't delve into the future if you refuse to let go of the past. There is no game in which enemies increase in dmg and health but you continue using the same weapon of increasing strength. Worse what if those weapons are better, less balanced, op even. New people can't get them so now you would have an unfair advantage. There is a million reasons not too and all you imbeciles can say is "oooh, I have an emotional connection to a virtual object..that is also virtually inanimate" get used to this b/c it will always be around...

So, what's the point of keeping old Crucible maps, then? What if those old maps are unbalanced and unfair, yet people only want to play those old maps? Shouldn't we phase out them, too? We paid for that content, and now Bungie is trying to force us to buy/play the new DLC by crippling our gear. That's silly. I love all my gear, but I'm absolutely excited to get at all the new stuff, too! Why is that bad? As long as Bungie keeps making desirable gear, players are going to want it, regardless of the damage levels. :P

That is the worst analogy I've been presented for this issue. B/c that map is available to everyone. These weapons aren't going to be. And if they were then how would it work? Increase level req? Or as it will be make it weaker than current end game weapons. In which case there is no point in having them available to receive. Ppl are always on the conspiracy train. Chill out and move on. You sound like a girl going through a bad break up.

So I'm confused. New people can't get the weapons we would already have.........this means VoG and Crota are being deleted from the game??? Hmmm, I hadn't heard that. I guess that would explain that as the new people would literally not be able to just run those and get the gear. I see.
