You actually bring up some pretty damn good arguments and have reasoning, pretty damn impressive compared to the crap spilling out of most people's mouth haha. I don't think weapon choice will be that big of an issue, but I definitely agree with your second point about how destiny seems to remove content (weapon and armor wise) rather than add more. I really hope bungie finds a better way to address it, but I wouldn't be too surprised if they don't.
