People hated Halo wars because they didn't have the brain cells to realise that Halo wars was a basic RTS and were shit at it. The common trend of gamers is if they're shit at a game they think the game is automatically bad and spread this opinion around trying to make it a fact. Halo wars was a great introduction to the RTS (Real time strategy) genre for console gamers and was great fun playing the multiplayer with friends and the campaign.
