like I love my fatebringer and use it to death in pve but I use mostly new guns in pvp because I like to reforge and try stuff. but then they are forcefully taking away our loved guns. thats bullshit. I am not buying taken king for now until they take out all the black wax idol in their ear.

Exactly, I have no idea why people assume that if Year 1 weapons stick around that no one is going to use Year 2 stuff. I feel as though they are just, ridiculously insecure about their new weapons which is very concerning.

yeah its sad. yes I use gally alot in pve but very little in pvp. why they dont understand that everything has its place I dont understand. the choice to leave a gun behind is the players choice when he sees new and more efficient weaponry. new guns come out everytime and should not maoke older ones obsolete so soon. if it was year 3 it will be understandable but so soon after putting ascension via etheric its so dumb. bungie wants slaves and not gamers who enjoy the game

Yeah. And its not even a case of the guns being stronger in terms of max damage. Anyone can boost the damage and call it "more powerful" which is a total bust. They did that with the Dark Below weapons and many said they were horrible. If guns are "more powerful" then of course they will likely be switched out for something better. But "Max Damage" does/should not determine this. The attributes should. The Devil You Know vs. The Devil You Don't Know is a prime example. DYDK was "stronger" in terms of max damage rating, because it was 'new' at the time. However, it lacked the same Mag Size and Impact Rating that DYK had, which actually made the NEW weapon obsolete by comparison instead, regardless of damage. Each weapon is unique. Each weapon has its own attributes and highlights. Why remove any of the pre-existing weapons? Bungie is just making one mistake after another.
