They dont replace them with better gear. Each dlc has worse weapons, but more hype. Everyone says these new weapons will be much stronger but they dont know that. Theyre the same people who said screw ascending fatebringer before HoW came out, got HoW weapons, and quickly ascended their Fatebringer. TTK has cooler looking weapons but with the removed/nerfed perks like perfec balance, field scout etc (all the good ones) youre going to have refill magazine on super and single point sling etc on most of your guns. Everyone will have hidden hand or somethinf because there will be very few useful perks. But you cant reroll so you pretty much have crappy weapons. Plus their theme of having everything that upgrades your gun have a downside also. I dont care about ascending weapons. If there was a hand cannon just like fatebringer in TTK then fatebringer could -blam!- off for all i care. But they wont give us good weapons like that.

  • But they cannot make better guns without bringing out even more overpowered perks whihc just makes the problem worse. Perks like Send It, field scout etc were too powerful. They needed to go, especially when we got the ability to roll weapons or we'd have regularly produced things better than the exotics (which some raid weapons already are, especially for Nightfalls...) This is a bit like patch 2.0. You either accept things need to be balanced and take the medicine or you don't and you move on. Bungie has made the decision and is highly unlikely to back down.

    again, maybe those perks were overpowered in pvp but not pve. And how are the new weapons "better" if you are telling me the old weapons were OP. So they are not making better weapons, they are just making the good weapons worse just seems lazy on Bungies end to me

  • can't use nightfalls. any elemental primary will be better than a kinetic weapon which exotics happen to sadly be. don't have to come from raids.

  • Ok change raid to "end game legendary" and the meaning is the same. Massive mistake to make primary exotics kinetic then introduce elemental legendaries. Would fatebringer etc be as widely used without the elemental damage?

  • it wouldn't be. would be no different than exotics but end game stuff usually requires elemental weapons because of the shielded enemies. they are not going to make all of them exotics. I primarily use exotic primary's for the crucible.

    See, I'd have made the raid weapons exotics and that would have done away with a large part of the problem. They'd then be upgradeable, but you'd have some very tough choices to make in terms of load out which would force the use of a wider selection of weapons. In fact if I was Bungie then I'd let each player pick one legendary to turn into an upgradeable exotic as part of TTK.

  • too many exotics then. you can only equipped one and they usually have one perk that sets them apart. I don't mind having the ability to keep one per character. I could live with that. Just feels good to run with my vision of confluence. I have to ask though are you new to destiny or have you played awhile.

  • Got about 140 hours of play and started around the time of the first Queen's Wrath event. Very little end game content experience due to family commitments. Hence I do not have any high end legendary weapons which clearly has an influence on my view

  • well if you need/ want to try them let me know. I have 2 little ones myself ages 5 and 2 both boys. Enough to drive a father crazy. lol. I try to play an hour or so each day just to check in with clan some days its more some none at all but I try.

  • Think about this for a second. Arguably the best weapons in the game come from one place VAULT OF GLASS. They haven't made better weapons in a year. Black hammer and messenger is only ones that come to mind. POE and queens weapons are a complete joke. There are blue weapons better than those. So for them to say "trust us" they will be better. Is really them saying VOG guns were to good and they need to be taken out the game. There will never be a gun like fate or vison. Corrective Measure and hezens as far as legendary weapons. This is simply a nerf.
