100% agreed man. I don't believe the "old" weapons should just fade away and die off. Let us take them with us as a sign that we've been here "X" number of years and stuck it out through the ups and downs. If Destiny does has a 10 year life span, let us make our own decisions on what we want to use and how we want to play. I'm looking forward to new weapons and gear but I also don't want to be forced into using garbage because that's all we have to choose from.

 • They won't fade away and die off because you'll still be able to use them in crucible. There comes a point where it's unrealistic to expect day 1 weapons to be available though Destinys lifespan.

 • Unrealistic? Bungie openly said our guardians were designed to carry over into whatever the next iteration of Destiny is; if our gear isn't included, then what the hell would we be carrying over?

 • How is that unrealistic? To me it sounds awesome: having the choice of using whatever weapon you feel like using

 • Totally my opinion and by no means am I good at Crucible or PvE, but for example, the Fatebringer is not really made for Crucible, it's designed around PvE. Another example, the beloved Gjallarhorn (that still eludes me), it's almost a "must" for some things in PvE. BUTTTTT...Why would I use it in Crucible when I could easily get just as many kills with the HoC, Radegast's Fury, Tomorrow's Answer etc and save an exotic slot? It's more feasible to use something like Thorn, The Last Word or Mida because those are better in the Crucible. Yeah, I can use any weapon for Crucible and it be equal but some just aren't designed for that aspect of the game. If I want to run a Raid or Strike, I will go to the Fatebringer, Secret Handshake, Swordbreaker, etc because they're designed around those activities. All in all, I'm not arguing what they're doing is wrong, I would just like to have the option of keeping the things I enjoy most. Some ppl say it's boring to use the same weapons over and over but that's "my choice" if I want to. I work a month on month off so I literally play half as much as a lot of people. This gives me a break and makes me enjoy it more when I do get to play. Sorry so long, just trying to make a point and started rambling...
