but there is no incentive to use them or acquire them. Even now, before the TTK, people still get excited about acquiring a new raid weapon, like Vision of Confluence or Oversoul Edict, and that can give an entirely different experience because you could ascend those weapons to be useful, a weapon that matches you. Take that out and you lose part of the experience that was fun in it's own right. It would be equivalent to being given garbage. Hell, with Crota so broken there is practically no reason now to go back.
