If they keep bringing up the damage value from old guns then how exactly do you beat guns like black hammer.

Easy; you nerf it to the ground, like Bungie is [i]already doing with the 2.0 patch[/i]. Seriously, people keep saying that Year 1 gear is too OP, but have people already forgotten the [i]massive[/i] rebalancing coming with TTK? Why would Bungie put that much effort into balancing guns that they're just going to leave behind? It doesn't add up.

No, it doesn't except for the affected exotics that you will be able to ascend. That's a relatively small amount of the total though.
