BUMP! I didn't want to play Destiny because it was a MMO, but because it was an FPS. (With all due respect) I'm quite tired of the MMO players acting like their opinion is somehow more valid than the FPS player's. We bought into Bungie's idea of putting a story behind our weapons, and now it seems like that means little in the long run. I want my 'the devil you know' to become my Colt .45. It's been in games for far longer than 10 years and I still love to use it every time I come across one in an FPS. Now comes the question: what makes us "Legend"? If I can't whip out my old school gun and let it be legend, then the history behind it means nothing, and the same thing translates to my guardian as a whole. Are my shaders what make me legend? My class items? Or is it my ship and emblem? Those are the only things that won't age, but why should any newcomer care about any of that? The only item in this game that can make someone feel special, is their weapon. I agree with you in case you couldn't tell.
