In most mmo you can customize your gear, I am not saying that he hasn't got a point but am saying that saying it's not like a mmo is wrong. You pay for it every 3 to four months, your gear gets phased out in the same time and your custom stats you spent that time working your ass off for are now pointless. Thus keeping you grinding. It's a cycle that is there to keep us all playing and the fps is a nice twist to it all. However its not a traditional mmo by far.
