tell me, which legendary is a rehash of fatebringer? Which Legendary is a rehash of black hammer (before nerf), that point is dumb, many legendaries are more widely used than exotics.

  • Fine. Let me clarify besides the 2 useful raid weapons that really aren't necessary to do anything in the game anyway. There's no further justification you can make.

you've just described the exceptions not the rule Advenence is exactly correct for most of the legendary weapons. The Devil You Don't from expansion 1 = Revelator from expansion 2 here's a database where you can sort by weapon attributes http://db.planetdestiny.com/items/weapons/primary/handcannon?sort=aim&desc=1&tier=24 if you sort by Rate of Fire, you can see handcannons fall into 1 of 3 categories: 1) RoF = 19, Impact = 94 handcannons 2) RoF = 22, Impact = 81 handcannons 3) RoF = 32, Impact = 68 handcannons everything else is just small tweeks for differrentiation

  • yes, but the guns themselves fire and feel different. For example, i have a red hand that handles heavier than my Venation 3 (or vise versa I can't remember exactly at the moment.) Same goes for other hand cannons, word of rota feels horrible, whereas fate bring and other hand cannons feel much better when fired, including devil you don't that you mentioned. I dont understand the push for this by so many. Why do people care if other people still want to keep and use fate bringer as a viable option in their battles in TTK? I don't understand how someone else wanting to use fate bringer at all affects your ability or want or need to use the new weapons instead. Which is why most people who think about this logically are saying, why can't we just have th option? If the guns they release are so much better, than wouldn't people want to get rid of their old stuff for the new anyway? This is the main point here. If the new stuff is so much better, which you and many believe, than why are they afraid we will want to still use our year 1 legendaries instead of them?

  • Fire and feel are purely aesthetic traits. The table I provided are factual and all the evidence you need. I'm with you in that I want to try new weapons. I don't even use fatebringer much anymore. I will miss my vision of confluence, I admit. However, we absolutely do not know if they new stuff is better. In fact, when they allowed us to ascend our VOG weapons it surfaced how poor the weapons have been since. The Dark Below exotic weapons? Terrible. They marketed Nechrocasm with this expansion and were promptly embarrassed when nobody used it. The Dark Below legendary weapons? Liking that Black Hammer but that's it....doh HoW exotic weapons? Cute, but no. Prison weapons? shank burn anybody? Trials weapons? Nice, but not replacing more effective weapons from VOG The reality is they know it's hard to market and sell an expansion when they can't top their first attempt. That's just the reality. I'm actually fine with it.

If the new stuff is as good as Bungie implies, then I'll have no issues moving on. And I safely speak for all of my Destiny friends in saying that we're all going to gravitate to the new stuff regardless of damage caps, but forcing us to do it will only leave a bad taste in our mouths.

This is exactly why I'm saying. They shouldn't force us to "move on". It should be our house e what we want to use
