People are just crying because now they're not going to be the best of the best with all their hard earned gear. Honestly it'd be stupid to keep the same weapons for the entirety of destiny. Eventually you've gotta move on. And if we can still use them I'd expect them to be inferior to the new end game weapons. I feel a little indifferent about it obviously because I've got everything I want at this point, but I kind of like the grind and look forward to slowly building up a new arsenal of weapons. I've got some kleenexes if anyone needs to dry their tears 😯

You're seriously going to tell me that you wouldn't [i]love[/i] to be playing Destiny 3 with a bunch of new player, and be able to pull out a Vanilla gun that they've [i]never[/i] seen before?? How is that not exciting?! Plus, Bungie very much marketed the gear in this game as something that we were [i]intended[/i] to carry with us through all of our adventures; weapons that became a part of a players "legend" during their progression. Also, Bungie openly stated guardians twill carry over into future versions of Destiny, so if their [i]gear[/i] isn't being brought forward... what is, then? Why even mention that fact in the first place?

Agreed, I have some TDB and Vanilla gear that I've ascended while my friend simply dismantled theirs and bought the newer versions of the same armor and guns from the vendors. I have armor thats classy and serves as a testament to my time and dedication into this game.
