Everytime I play the mission on venus in the ketch I think; if this were halo this ship would be taking off as soon as we boarded it. How great would that have been for a transition to Mars? Big battle progressing to the ships deck killing them all and crash landing! Ugg! What are they sitting around thinking of if not awesome shite like that?

I'll bet it ten minutes we could've come up with an arena 1000x more fun and replayable. I love that you brought up the transitions to planets too because I've always felt it was such a letdown to just select them and then instantly be there. Where's the wonder of [i]we're going to -blam!-ing Mars!!!!![/i]? It doesn't exist in this game. The moon? Gravity... The -blam!-? Venus and Mars? May as well be Earth. That's why I wish they'd just had the initial release be on Earth with vast explorable areas (older Russia, old Chicago) and saved the moon and planets for future releases when they could have been epic. They tried to cram a bit of everything into vanilla and it ended up... Well, vanilla lol.

That's what I always wished they'd done too. Give us the full earth at the start. Then routinely release planet expansions.
