Considering the fact that each DLC all but removes old gear from the loot tables, and players will always be limited by Vault space (even if it gets increased), this issue is never going to exist in that capacity. I've kept, at most, one of each weapon type with each DLC. At most. I mainly have 2 of each weapon class that I've specifically kept around, with a few extras here and there, and my Vault is MAXED. Even if I kept two handcannons from every DLC (which I'll never do, nor will most), I'd only have 12 to chose from after Year 2 is over. That's still a lot, but nowhere near your numbers, and I highly doubt any players would actually keep that many of the same type. Having a limited storage space for gear will always, always] keep hoarding at bay. And And to be honest? Oversaturation is definitely an issue that Destiny is not in danger of dealing with anytime soon. I think Destiny has the opposite problem, right now, honestly.

 • I almost agree. I mean, if they start now, they set a precedent that will be impossible to deal with later on down the road. This is a 10 year game for Bungie, and that needs to be kept in mind. They already said they're introducing more new weapons here than they ever will before. I didn't mean to imply that saturation would occur after year two, but after a while, you have too many options if everything ever made is still viable. This makes the decision between something mean less. Every game designer ever will always tell you they'd prefer you to be forced into making a meaningful decision that you don't want to have to make rather than just giving you what you want all the time.

 • I would agree with you if old gear was still obtainable after a new DLC comes out, which isn't the case. There will always be a finite amount of space that organically forces players to get rid of older gear at some point, and the situation you're bringing up could only happen if players hoarded ONE type of weapon for 2-3 years. It's not going to be an issue, man. :P

 • Players will naturally horde the best, whatever that is. I'm not saying this is going to happen. It will only happen if they allowed carryover. Which they shouldn't allow.
