Not sure this is the correct thread, but I just received an email from Bungie regarding my recent achievements. It says I've reached rank 1, 25 kills, in Elimination. I haven't played a single Elimination match.

So Trials of Osiris kills count towards the Elimination card. Even if you haven't unlocked Elimination, the card ranks are still being tracked.
