I got it on a strike very early on, with a good roll, tried it out once or twice. The stupid thing sucked mega ass and served its purpose by giving me enough weapon parts to upgrade my MIDA. Why do people like it so much????
EDIT: Thanks for 1k comments!! I ran one dragon strike for shits and giggles today. One. First try. I got another Hopscotch Pilgrim. So thank you everyone

Headseeker is a wasted perk on the Hopscotch as long as you have a stability upgrade. The roll you want is Feeding Frenzy/Outlaw, a stability upgrade, Reactive Reload. Why people like it? It's the best pulse rifle in the game for PvP.
-
... Damn what have you've been doing with your Weapon Parts mate? :l
-
Pretty simple. It's a laser. Max stability potential, lots of ammo, two headshot burst kill (without damage boost perks).
-
It's amazing
-
Muted
-
Blame mr.fruit ! Lol

Honestly, it's the best Pulse Rifle in the game right now. High Impact, perfect stability. I have ben flawless 8 times and have all the Adept Messengers. Outside of the Elemental (That doesn't matter in PVP) and the range, the Hopscotch is better is every attribute. I see a lot of trolling in here about how it's a "poor man's Messenger" it's not, check the stats and then fail at troll posts. Even the Vendor Three Little Words is exactly the same as The Messenger. It's just better.

Mine has -Third Eye -Braced Frame (maxes out stability) -Headseeker So it's awesome.

I'm here on the behalf of the Super pox VLO committee. Just came to announce that 2 bursting pulse rifles have been in the game since launch, and the pilgrim is along the lines of a bandwagon weapon due to the buff in PRs and rarity. If more people had tried different pulse rifles in the beginning I don't think people would be tripping out about them now. I'm somewhat of a casual player but I've been using the same gun since the first week of destiny and it has yet to fail me. My grimoire is heavily biased to pulse rifles and I can assure you that hopscotch pilgrim is a good gun but there are several others that match and out perform.
-
Its so popular because it is like a messenger that can be re-rolled.
-
its rare, famous and new. there aren't many things to grind for and even less that are so hard to get.
-
Youtubers.
-
It gets all the hoes

It's all about the recoil pattern when you buff the stability. There are many 2-shot pulse rifles, but the grouping on the shots is very tight. In theory you could do this with any 2-shot, but you would need counterbalance to help the recoil on some of them. If you use hopscotch, then that is a free perk to use for what you want. It won't instantly make you a monster, but good pulse rifle users will find value in it. Tl;dr good recoil and high base stability
-
With the right perks it's one of the best crucible guns in the game. Hint-outlaw and reactive reload = unlimited kills. I guess it's all down to play style
-
I see you haven't been flawless. It's not the weapon that's bad, you are
-
Is good, just nothing special , but the way human mind works is u want something u can't have,,
-
Same stats as messenger
-
Edited by Smooch: 8/8/2015 10:31:05 PMIt's a 2 shot kill, how is that bad? But I'm guessing you're a PvE player.
-
I'll stick to my messenger.
-
It's got a catchy name
-
Messenger >

It's good... Duh?

The hype train travels fast with this community. They can't make up their own minds, so they'll believe anything. Its an overhyped weapon that can be be beaten by a variety of loadouts, but people will still swear by it as if its the be all end all. I run my own numbers, and try weapons out myself rather than listening to the community, and its worked out pretty well so far.

I don't have one, but same meta as spare change apparently, so I compared that to my Constellation Scar and I prefer the Scar. The Dead Air is also good.

Edited by Game Over: 8/8/2015 4:24:49 PMIt's not to me , I barely lose to it..I see people with it , but mid way through match they switch to thorn, tlw, red death.
