... Hey keyboard warrior. Just so you know, 1.Charlemagne is a mentor, not a Bungie employee. 2. That article is second hand info from an interview given by the game's community manager to a games review site journalist. Even Deej said it's all subject to change and still being decided. 3. When asked specifically about a level 34 guardian, Deej says you will take your first steps at the level you are now. The level you are now my issue with this is... a) the level you are now is 20 b) even if he means 34, why use the phase "your first steps"? Will we stop in as a 34 and have our light level ' sucked out ' of our armour, leaving us at 20 again? I'm not arguing or insulting you. Just supporting the op and commenting on something a lot of people have overlooked and taken for granted. No need to get sh1tty.

By first step he means we need to level up after. And in the interview he said the level you are is 34, not 20

I hope that clears things up for everyone. Edit: Here's my understanding in a breakdown for more clarity: "Hard" Levels (my term): 1-40 — levelled up through experience. Light level: This is your power indicator. While you might be level 40, you can still be under the recommended Light power level for an activity, meaning it'll be (a bit) hard for you.
