Watch the interview. DeeJ never said anything about light level transferring to player level. He said "you're good to go."
Light level depends on what gear you are wearing at a given time. It's impossible to transfer this to player level. You will be level 20.

Yeah, he is stating that it's his interpretation, not that he knows. This guy is just posting a very poor interpretation of the interview.
