A Skyboom shield is a Cybertronian energy shield. Unlike the common energy shield that we know is used by Spartans and Sangheili Elites, the shield is mounted onto the arm (therefore being portable), is able to withstand TONS more damage, and can be expanded to numerous sizes to protect one's allies.
