My assumption was that they took all of the being from both galaxies and stuck them at opposing sides of a new neutral galaxy (that way the Halo rings weren't as much of a factor) So the Star Wars - verse would only have whatever materials they brand with, aka their ships, weapons, and armor, could be controlled by the force.

I'm pretty sure Ground battles would be dominated by the Haloverse, but space battles would be incredibly interesting.

Considering if the Haloverse was losing the battle, the Forerunners could simply use the Composer(s), or the Covenant and Forerunners could together glass the planet, or the Forerunners could (assuming that the entire system is a casualty), collapse the systems star. Worst case scenario, the Haloverse could send all POWs and non-military citizens to a planet and fill it with, again, non military ships, to a planet near the edge of the SW space, and unleash the flood. Eventually the flood would form a Gravemind and leave the planet. They would continue to infect the Star Wars side until Victory was almost achieved, at which point the rest of the Halo Universe would come in and sweep up what was left.
