Riddle of Throwback #5
Almost done with my Throwback Riddles! Sorry if you're getting tired of them, I just have one more after this. This riddle is called the [u]Riddle of Mysterious Ivory[/u].

Who/What am I?
I have not always been here. Life was different when I did not exist. But now I am here, a silent reminder of why you fight, yes? I remember the knife; the one with the million blades. You may question my presence, but you will glean no information, especially from him, that charlatan. And when the long dark closes in around us, we will be the last light.
[b]Winner[/b]: Lobster Fish 2
[b]Answer[/b]: The Traveler's Wounds
[b]Explanation[/b]:
[spoiler][i]I have not always been here. Life was different when I did not exist.[/i] The Traveler's shell used to be perfect. When her wounds did not exist, we still lived in the Golden Age.
[i]But now I am here, a silent reminder of why you fight, yes?[/i] Her wounds show that the Darkness is still out there, and it is strong.
[i]I remember the knife; the one with the million blades.[/i] According to grimoire, a knife with a million blades is what wounded Alpha Lupi.
[i]You may question my presence, but you will glean no information, especially from him, that charlatan.[/i] The origin of her wounds is unknown, but no one knows that information. The Speaker any know, but he withholds it.
[i]And when the long dark closes in around us, we will be the last light.[/i] As the Darkness closes in on the Solar System, the City is protected by the Traveler.[/spoiler]

My first thought is the Traveler, but you've denied that more than a couple of times. I can't help but feel it's more specific... Is it the gaping hole in the bottom of the Traveler? That's my best guess... But I don't see how that fits in with the last line, "we will be the last light..." Edit: Damn, someone beat me to it.
