I get the feeling you still think I'm an antisocial, no-life child who has nothing better to do than play Destiny. Not cool, man. ;)
I have 4 degrees, an award-winning feature film to my name, and get paid enough to work one week every month and still live more comfortably than a lot of my friends that work full time. I definitely have real-life accomplishments, and they're indeed way more meaningful than anything in a dumb videogame.
I'm approaching this situation like an adult; I'm the consumer, I paid for this game, and I want to continue using the items I paid for, because it has literally zero effect on anyone else's experience.

I never claimed you to be a child. Hell, it's the internet, we are whatever other people think we are, and at the same time, we can be whomever we want. You claim to be an adult. As adult myself, I guess I got over it quicker. I can't assume we all think alike. The beauty of the forums, where no one's correct and personal opinions are truths. We all play for different reasons. Some play to collect, some play to have fun, some play for the competitiveness (hah), but at the end of the day, it's what we value and our morals that truly make us who we are.
