In all fairness, I feel we should only be able to use Year One versions of both protagonists. Following that, I don't believe Master Chief stands a chance.

Nah, what does Chief have for his name, really? The Gaurdians destroyed creatures that control time, a god, and an alien that would be king of his kind. They can also brnd the forces of fire, lightning, and void to their whim. Chief has a suit of armor, guns, and destroyed one ring (with help) by the end of the first Halo.

And guardians had now help doing all that they did? Chief doesn't need a gjallahorn, a super, a ghost, all he needs is an opponent. "What does chief has for his name?" Hello! MASTER CHIEF. The name says it all. And he destroyed not only halos, but the didact which would reck the traveler, and wiped covenant fleet after covenant fleet solo. Sorry but guardians only can occasionally solo one part of a raid. Yeah they destroyed the black garden heart but cmon its a floating piece of poop. Ya get me? Good. Haha I love destiny but halo is the father of destiny

Only the weakest of Gaurdians need Gjallarhorn. I beat Atheon, for the first time, using only primary weapons. I regularly beat strikes using only melees. How often did Master Chief rely on vehicles to get his work done? Way too damn often.

There isn't a huge difference though for Master Chief. He was as lethal and near freshly trained for CE. Regardless of when it happens, Master Chief still has the training and genetic modifications that make him superior to any warrior.
