Ok so you are telling me that if someone writes a story book about Destiny and makes guardians insanely OP then we can have a battle between the guardians and master chief?
-
Yeah, if Bungie accepts the book as canon, of course!
-
Hey ive died from fire damage when a flood guy gets close so hes not fireproof
-
That's in game, it's not actual canon.
-
Then the canon doesnt make sense. Or the game. Whatever.
-
The game is known to stray from canon for gameplay purposes. For example, chief doesn't run at 60 mph in game, and plasma doesn't kill marines in one bolt.

Edited by Zip360: 8/9/2015 5:22:08 PMSo someone write some BS back story on destiny like the books do for halo, making the Guardian absolutely op, then you can compare apples to apples, until then it's game play vs game play and guardians win every time.
-
Edited by gcw0068: 8/9/2015 5:30:18 PMLook at the halo 5 vidocs. They specifically talk about "realizing the Spartan", referencing the books which are canon. Most halo players even go as far as to say Reach was non canon as it seems to clash with the novel, "Fall of Reach". However, the two can be fit together.
-
Reach is non-canon. It does not fit.
-
With slight adjustments It can
-
There were no spartan 3s anywhere near reach, and they wouldn't have met Halsey at all.
-
It's to justify Halo's DBZ story telling method.
-
As I already said though, Destiny might be more viable once it's got actual lore.
-
-
Oh shut up shithead, the halo novels are welcomed by every player and are know. To be the first source of canon. Halo is more than CE at this point, but there's no point in arguing with ignorants like you who don't accept fact for fact. You're wrong.
-
Also facts based on fictional stories with no standardizing is what makes this as lame as a superman vs goku arguement or a Muhammad vs Jesus battle.
-
Well actually both Muhammad and Jesus existed. Unlike goku.
-
I enjoyed the halo games. The whole fan fic jerk off session of the stories is what ruined that story. When Chief was just a bad ass spartan the story was good, the whole halo mythos is terrabad story telling.
-
Alright, fair enough. Just that it's canon. But I definitely prefer the games too. Especially the amount of replayability they have.
-
Wait....chief can control when he dies? When the hell did that happen lol
-
He can't reqlly "control" it, its just that the halo history is basically repeating itself and its not Chief's time to die anytime soon.
-
Spoil the geas part pls
-
He's got -blam!-ing Geass? :l
-
His geass allows him to control when he dies.
-
Can catch a rocket/missile it's called grenades and horseshoes not mention Gjallarhorn would damage him a lot most likely
