I am fine with using year two gear for year two content. It's the nerfs that bug me. What's the deal with all the year one legendary perk nerfs if those guns aren't going to be ascended? They are essentially making vanilla destiny mote difficult by nerfing those guns. Personally I think it's because even without being ascended those weapons were still going to be top dogs. Just because the weapon "does more damage" does not make it better. (Fatebringer being used at 300 for crota hard) And that's why I think they are nerfing the perks. They don't want vog guns to be the supreme anymore.
