I enjoyed the halo games. The whole fan fic jerk off session of the stories is what ruined that story.
When Chief was just a bad ass spartan the story was good, the whole halo mythos is terrabad story telling.

Alright, fair enough. Just that it's canon. But I definitely prefer the games too. Especially the amount of replayability they have.
