-
I say, sir, though t'aint my place, that you're the third to come after Mr. Albertin. What d'ye want with him?
-
"I want to know how and why he disappeared."
-
Nobody knows, sir. He was a powerful good man. Never smoked, only drank small, and was awful good to me and mine. Three factories he owned out of here, and he gave gifts to all and sundry on the holidays. Chased out the lawbreakers, too. Odd thing is, the constabulary can't do for much in finding him. Not a shred of paper or of anything that could be found. Just up and gone.
-
"Really? Can you tell me where the factory he was mostly at?"
-
S'up on the north side. Just told another gentleman the same. Will you want some refreshment, as you're going?
-
"No thank you but thanks for the information. I appreciate it." He leaves him a tip and heads north.
