How about we try out new gear, then see if it's better? If it is it earns a place, keeps it 'fresh' for you, but we still have the customized gear we've collected, grinded for, that is working for each-of-us ... and our own styles of play. I'll take my Time-On-Target & Praedith Timepiece over Aegis of Kells any day.

Also, it gives Bungie and us an opportunity to find good gun balancing and also test out how these factions would work and our (the customers) views about these factions for future advancements
