*Sigh*
Not this again...
Like I've said so many times, it's not a gender issue, it's a community issue. People feel like they can say whatever they want online & not have any consequences. People use anonymity as a way to say things they wouldn't say to someone if they were face to face. Girls aren't treated any worse then boys are online, it's something that both genders experience equally. It also depends on the game you're playing, the COD community for example, it's made up of most people under the age of 17. These kids tend to think that trolling & being rude online is hilarious. If you can't deal with how people are on the internet, then stay off of it. Don't try to turn it into an something it's not.

Edited by GameBroJeremy: 8/19/2015 4:19:46 PM^ This is the correct answer. Most people use online anonymity to do things they normally wouldn't do in person. Most people I've seen who act immature are gamers that act like they are under the age of 17. This is not a gender issue. This is a issue for everyone in general in our community. This community is moderate-high toxic in my opinion (not all of you are bad, I seen lots of nice people on these forums). Never let them get to you. Keep your head up high and ignore the ones who are jerks.

I agree with you but I also think women got it worse than guys when it comes to gaming at least when it comes to mmos. I've seen guys who would give away free items or tons of in game currency to someone just because they thought they was a female. Just look at the selfie threads. Some women on here got over 1k comments while most guys get a average of 1 to 10. The whole sweet guy can become rather stalkerish for some cases as well. I've also seen guys go complete opposite and just go out of their way to be complete prices to females just cause. Women can be pretty bad too though at times but I seem to get less shit from them than I do guys.
-
I agree dis guy. I feel bad for female gamers.
-
That's due to female:male ratio. More males=more comments on females pics, plus let's not act like the reason people post on that isn't too get attention. I have never been harassed by guys (except on COD) because I don't demand people give me attention. Only woman that get harassed are the annoying ones that act ditzy & giggle at everything. I've seen it time & time again, woman do not have it worse, they just want special treatment.
can your just take a look at this link for me. Really open your mind ok.
Sounds like the police should take care of it, not gaming industries
