Exotic emblem is misleading
Many people have this emblem equipped just to have an appearance. I saw this guy (actually a kid) with the emblem and some ToO weapons you can only get by going flawless. Something told me he got carried, especially when his grimoire score was low. So I went to his profile and saw that his ToO k/d is lower than 0.60 and that his all time crucible k/d was not even 0.70.
Edit: I see a lot of people misunderstood what I was trying to say with my grimoire comment. Grimoire is mostly experience and playing time. It's basically a score based on many volume achievements. The more you play, the more experience (grimoire) you gain. My point was that if someone has low grimoire, it is likely that person is not very experienced, which means he (or she) probably got carried.

The emblem doesn't mean very much for many people anymore, especially with many getting carried. Not going to lie, I see someone with the emblem and I generally think either Thorn douchbag, carried, or attention seeker.

I use the emblem on all three of my guys because I wasn't carried And earned the it. I didn't carry either though, my team was gold.

I find it very nice to play against a whole team of tryhard emblems. Because 90% of those people are terrible pvp players and got carried through ToO, otherwise you wouldn't were the same emblem for such a long time. So for all the little tryhard kids, pray that I am not on the opposite team

6 RepliesI wish people would stop going on about grimoire score it means nothing . Triplewrecks grimoire score is 2725 . That means half the clowns on this forum wouldn't have him on their team . I think I've made my point .

I usually agree with you on the grim score, if I see anything less than 3100, I just automatically assume they are bad, just based on experience as you pointed out.. That being said, I went flawless with two players with less than 3000 and the one of them was amazing! The emblem doesn't mean anything anymore though, I refuse to wear mine... My hunter doesn't need any emblems.. He knows he is a badass lol (Maybe not quite a bad ass, but but definitely not someone to be underestimated lol)

Check my games, did I get carried honestly? I would say not. I was a 31 for about 4 games, then a 33 for the rest

My crucible KD I believe is above a 1.0 my trials is probably around a .75 though I've been flawless 3 times with the same teammates. They're both PvP experts and I just play PvP casually. BUT saying the exotic emblem is misleading is a lie. Crota gave an emblem and so did Skolas. Crota you could pull the Lan cable and Skolas Ghorns burned him in the first couple of weeks. The emblems just show that you were able to finish something even if it was by less than normal methods. Some people are scum and pay to get carried through Trials but even so they've completed it, even if they didn't help.

It was cool to have the exotic emblem at first, but it's really lame now. Everyone uses it in regular crucible to look cool, then get bottom of the team. To be completely honest I'm mostly at the top just because I'm a major try hard at this game. Back on topic, ur right it is misleading (one example I stated)

4 RepliesImma tell you something I have never been flawless because I havent had a team who can keep up. I have tried and have been 9-1 many times but I'm not all that time interested on it, anyways When I see people with that embelem in crucible I always always, always rek them my kd might be 1.2/ 1.3 but thats because I don't really care about it I have beat people with a 2.0 kd. Kd means shit specially in this game.

I used to get a little worried when seeing an entire team running the flawless emblem but lately playing against teams like this has been even easier its the teams that are rocking the very first emblem you get which seem to best. this might just be me though

My friends dismantle the emblem every time we get it. Emblem was only cool 1st week. Btw grimscore doesn't mean anything. Especially for pvp.

3 RepliesMy kdr is low, i get flawless 15 times, im not an attack player, im suport my team, checking the radar all time, covering his back, my work is not to kill, is make my team feel less pressure, and give a second or even a third chance. Im a pve player, who step in a very hateful pvp world.

3 RepliesI went to the lighthouse for he first time on Sunday and i wear it because i feel like i have achieved something. I will not claim to be an amazing player, i am and average and can hold my own. thankfully i have found 2 amazing players who have shown me the ropes and now ii will try my very best to make it to the lighthouse at least once a week if i can!!! I want me that Solar Jewel!!!! The reason i wear the emblem? I don't wear it to show off nor to claim that i am a beast! i wear is because i feel a sense of achievement. Imagine being in a position where you accepted the fact that you would never see the lighthouse and out of nowhere you end up seeing it! I'm still all stoked about it and some of my friends now envy me :D.
