Yes. They still use locks. But not with the brass keys you slip into them. Electrical key card and pass code locks have locks too. Emphasis on the lock.

Fine.... But it just doesnt feel right that its COMPLETELY useless.... But its your RP i guess.

It is completely useless, because most of, if not all, of the locks in Cyberpunk are electronic. It can still work on older doors, like ones with handles and knobs around the Coast and Oasis, but not anywhere else.
