It's not just about the items. We can all agree that 1) Destiny is not exactly overflowing with things to do, and 2) DLC/expansions are supposed to make a game bigger and better right? Making the items obsolete makes the activities associated with them irrelevant as well...and so we go from 3+1 PVE endgame activities to 1....and think of the noobs as well, TTK is meant to draw in some new players as well entice back players who quit before TDB even launched. What I say above is probably more important than this final point, but still, are the majority of the players against upgrading/ascension and constantly making the (ignorant) argument that other MMO's do it, so ADD that they really believe anything in this game is 'old'??!! Destiny's been only out a year FFS, that ain't old! It's my working theories that 1) this new 'sacrifice' feature may well be the 'new' ascension+transmog all rolled into one, and 2) the Devs may well finally be adding couple higher level difficulties to the 'old' endgame activities that will also drop the 'old' items but with the new higher stats.

  • I very well agree with your point. However this game is not an mmo. I dont know why people assume that it is or that it is close to an mmo, when its not. It is not even open world. So why are players comparing this to an mmo? Its not even old either. And to answer your question I am not against assending old gear. Im just not seeing a point in complaining to bungie about the weapons being obsolete since they already made the decision to do so. I mean how in the world do we convince them to change their minds? Thousands of people have Been explaining their a pinion, yet when bungie makes a decision, they like to stick with it for months until they decide that they might have -blam!-ed up. But again I am totally with u on this one.

  • Oh I agree it's not an MMO, I don't even think it qualifies as MMO-lite.
