My context of legendary, simply means do you feel a part of anything in the game? I don't, hence I don't find Pve fun, they could have easily made it fun, or more fun depending on the players view.

That's cool, you're entitled to your opinion. I've been playing games since the NES era and for me it's gameplay first and foremost. If I like the setting or the story (like the Legend of Zelda series) than even better, those are the games that really hook me, but at the end of the day if I'm having fun that's all I care about.

Im surprised by your response. Because legend of zelda has a great story and gameplay in unison. It seems you would hold this game to a higher standard having played the old school games. I played them as well.

Maybe we just see it differently. Games like A Link to the Past have fantastic gameplay and a great setting and lore, but the actual storytelling throughout the game is pretty light. If not for Sahasrahla (the old wise man) there would little explanation of what's going on. I guess when I play Destiny, I like the setting and the lore and the gameplay is really fun. The story is enough for me to be interested but its not really good storytelling. Same could be said for Dark Souls and that's why I love the first one.

To each his own of course, I haven't played dark souls but another game I loved was MGS4.. The blend of storytelling and gameplay was superb! When I found out Liquid, was playing the role of bad guy to rip the system, it gave the final battle dual meaning and made you feel some love for the enemy you hated most of the time lol.
