Your always online multiplayer. There is always people there with you like every other MMO except in certain areas in campaign missions and in orbit.
Therefore making it an MMO.

Bungie has even started multiple times while yes it does have similar feel to mmos the game itself is not an mmo. If you count 16 people an MMO then damn Battlefield must be an mmo too........
