I pull down the hatch on the cockpit as I sit down in the chair. I shift a bit and the leather creaks and stretches. The display recognizes my presence and lights up with an array of status meters and counters. The suit's engines were a soft purr once inside.
Minutes later I landed in the forests outside the city. The mutants would fair well enough for a weapons test. I cycled on the systems, my impact should have alerted them, but just to be sure I blare the alarm horn.
I flex my fingers on the trigger and wait, this should be interesting.

((I got you homie)) A terrible sound fill the air of the dead city. A symphony of high pitched screams, lots and lots of screams and wails, even more join in on the noise as the sound continues to grow and expand throughout the city. The hunt was afoot, the wails were getting closer to its source. You see them, horribly disfigured things that were probably human at one point given with their humanoid bodies. They came running out of dwellings as they looked around for whatever had disturbed the silence of the ruined city. Then they see you, several point with their claws as they spot you in the distance and charge towards you, some on two feet, some on all fours running like animals. Tens of them, maybe the horn wasn't such a good idea.

The suit's engines spring to life as I use them to assist my dash forwards. As I rocket at the horde I trigger the saw blade mounted in the arm and smile. Upon its activation I crouch the suit and spin a full 360 degrees, letting my momentum and the saw tear through their bodies. Once out of my spin I jump backwards into the air and fire the 20mm Cannon into the tightly packed mutants. I feel the thud of the gun's recoil in the joysticks, best credits I've ever spent.

Blood, blood and intestines everywhere. Some of the mutants continue to hiss at you with anger while others get a grasp of the hopeless situation with whatever is left of their subconsciousness and flee the slaughter. Silence is restored, at least for the time being.

A successful weapons test, now I need to see Kai about a kap injection system. I radio him as I take off towards the city
