Why are you guys so self assure when it comes to this game and your "philosophy" regarding how it should be played? You stated in an interview, "there is no playbook for this" talking about destiny, all but admitting that this is purely trial and error for you guys.. And I've heard you guys talking about the fact that you all play your game and that you yourselves are bigger critics than anything we the community could point out to you. However, since this is trial and error for you guys and there's no denying that the community has done the bulk of the trials to find these errors, why not listen to what we suggest when we discover things that could make this game more fun for everyone?? And I'm not talking about competitive MP. I'm sure you would be quick to point out hot fixes based on feedback. Honestly husk of the pit is the first community requested change that I've seen, that is not solely about pvp in as long as I can remember. And I've been playing since first look alpha on ps4. Not only that but you guys go and make changes out of the blue that no one asks for, then when there is an outcry, you sit stubbornly behind your "philosophy" as if that is the only way things could be done. Where is your humility? I understand that as a developer, the guys you answer to have an attachment to their creation, but since launched and embraced by the community, it has become our game as well. You guys love numbers so much... I have a challenge for you. Go find the numbers of hours you guys have spent on development(I'm sure the number is huge, I'm not being dismissive of the effort that has been put into this game), but then take that number and compare it to the community total time played... We both know you don't actually need to do this to know which number comes out higher.. This game has become as much ours as it is yours, and I shouldn't even need to explain that to you.. If the devs aren't making this game for the players, then quite honestly I'm not sure what you guys are doing in the first place. For the love of reason, take some of our feedback and look at it with an open mind.. Just because it may not match what you all pictured from the outset does not mean it is not worth considering. In many cases, I would say it's worth a lot more than just consideration. It is ok to make mistakes.. It is not ok to defend mistakes stubbornly just because changing it goes against what you thought was the right way to do something..and I'll just throw out there that the same applies to us as players and our desires for the direction of this game. No one is ever right all the time, but the message I've gotten from bungie so far is that you guys think that you are right no matter what, and even though this is trial and error for you, even the errors are "right", and your changes to errors are "right", and you know what is best, even if you don't know exactly what you are doing, you are still right, if for no other reason, than because it is aligned with your philosophy for the game. You have lost my faith. At this point trust must be earned.. I know I'm not the only one. I no longer have content that is prepaid for that I might as well play because it is already bought. Any future endorsement from me will only come when I'm sure you will respect my investment, not say one thing then do something else, and most importantly, show some willingness to compromise and be transparent in your plans regarding the future of this game. You may not care if you've lost my trust, or if I, personally, plan on continuing with destiny, and at this point thats is fine, but if there is one person over there at bungie HQ that is willing to listen to a perspective even though it may be different than their own, then that is the person I am really trying to reach, because you've got a great foundation to make a game that's bigger than anything I've ever seen. I'd like to see it realized. I'd love to come back to it at that point. Until then, best of luck.
