Actually, as a day one player, first with Xbox 360 then upgraded to Xbox one, i think it's more of a hope for a nod from bungie. Players who have been here since day one, have basically been the reason that there have been new content. If we left and no one new came in, there would be no game called destiny anymore. We as "veterans" just want something that says thank you for helping this become something great. That's all. If your a new player, then welcome to you all. Simple as that. Do I expect something from bungie? No. Not any more. Now I just want a decent DLC in the taken King and not another house of wolves let down.

Your thank you is the game's continued development. As you say, there wouldn't be another DLC without all the vets who stuck around long enough for it to happen. The fact there is should be thank you enough, as they haven't packed up and called it a day on Destiny.
