He's busy. If he has time to complete that he ain't doing his job. I expect long days and nights outta him, especially with ttk so close to release. He uses an exo? Hmph. Wouldn't have guessed that. I doubt this is a main one, I'm sure he has 2 or more gamertags. One for his real life personal use and this is just a work one. I play on 3 different gamertags, I can't imagine this is his only one.

  • Also it takes hardly any effort to complete any of those moments of "triumph"... I mean the simplest thing to get done is completing a raid which hasn't happened.

  • I hate when people say this. Community managing is his job. I have a job too. A family and going to school at night too. I still play. The fact that this is his job and he doesn't play this game in his free time sends the signal that he doesn't even really like the game. true or not, those are the signals he's sending.

  • I agree. It is his job to play this game. I'm not saying he doesn't have other things to do. But part of what he's here for is to play this game and interact with the community. Does your manager at work know how to do your job? Do they get involved in what you do? Have they done your job before and could they cover your shift if there was an emergency? If the answer is no, your manager sucks and/or is a corporate tool and your company sucks. If your manager is worth his/her salt, the answer to all of the above is yes. DeeJ is our manager. He absolutely should have completed all of the activities just as the community he is managing.

  • Maybe he plays on the alpha versions of the next content...

  • Yeah he's been so busy playing alpha for TTK that he just didn't have time to do VoG or CE hard mode. I mean, it's only been out for 10 months. I'm not saying he needs to complete 100 raids, but not doing hard mode is like basic level shit. He doesn't understand the Fatebringer grind, or the crux grind. The highs and lows of the game. DeeJ isn't some high level exec money man. He is the community manager. He manages a community that he can't relate to.

  • Well I guess me and you will never see eye to eye. I dont see anything Deej has ever done wrong. I could care less if he completes the trials. As far as Im concerned his job as CM is only to look through and pass on gripes. Why does anyone in the community have the right to be upset about how another person plays this game or the lack there of. The argument of him seeing how broken the game is first hand? They see it and they see it all over the forums. you dont have to be wiped on crota from a bug to know there is problems.

  • Or maybe he plays but doesn't care for the moments of triumph. He's an individual. He's allowed to like or dislike something. From your pov, he HAS to play certain events to make everyone else happy. Come on.

  • Yes, as community manager and the voice of Bungie, in my opinion he HAS to play this game as a hobby. He can't relate to the majority of year one players.

  • I don't mean not play, I mean he doesn't HAVE to do the stuff for the moments of triumph. That's what I was saying. Maybe he doesn't feel like doing skolas 35. He's allowed to not like an aspect of the game. I don't like raids, for example. I'm not saying he shouldn't play the game, he can do poe 28/32/34. Maybe he just doesn't want to do 35. This is just an example.

  • Are you allowed to not take part in activities at work that you don't enjoy? There are plenty of thing at my work that I hate or don't enjoy. But I do them; with a smile on my face. Because it's my job. That's what I'm being paid to do.

I know what you mean. But it still doesn't make sense. Like it or not, he should have done it at least once for the experience of doing it. If my job is to represent a specific video game, you'd bet your ass I'd know every single thing about it. If everyone complains about how difficult Skolas is, or even how easy he is, DeeJ has no way of relating or even having an opinion. I'm not saying he has to like it, but this is part of his job. It's seriously a few hours out of his week to finish. So is it worth it to him to be better at his job by enduring something he hates (hypothetically according to you) for a little bit? Or can he not be bothered to experience the full game he is a mouthpiece for?

I see what you're saying. As a frame of reference pov.
